tvN 드라마 [마에스트라]의 OST <헨델 : 두 대의 바이올린과 오케스트라를 위한 파사칼리아>를 편곡, 드라마의 최종화에 삽입되어 연주와 음악이 인물 간의 감정을 극대화시켰다는 평을 받았다. 또한, 그는 지브리 OST로 유명한 일본의 작곡가 히사이시 조가 주최한 제 5회 Young Composer’s Competition에서 파이널리스트로 선정 되었으며, 심사위원으로 부터 “그의 음악은 독특한 소리 세계를 구축한다” 는 평을 들었다.
정재민은 게임 ‘안녕서울:이태원편’의 사운드트랙 작곡가로 참여하여 더 많은 것을 이루어낼 예정이며, 그만의 독특한 음악 어법을 구축할 예정이다.
Jung Jaemin is a composer, pianist, and conductor from South Korea. He focuses on exploring themes related to the Korean language, modern life, and Seoul, expressing “modern Korean culture” through his music. One of his notable works, There is a Mute Mode Button on iPhone for Ensemble, has achieved an exceptional 9 million views on YouTube Shorts. This piece reinterprets the unique cultural performance etiquette of Korea through a modern musical lens.
He has released albums, including Solo Requiem, which reflects on life, The World Of Us, inspired by Seoul Forest, a sanctuary in the city, and CONCRETE FOREST, which contrasts the tranquil shelter of the forest with the harsh concrete buildings surrounding it. Additionally, he held an offline concert titled Chasia X Jung Jaemin's Concrete Forest at the Incheon Art Hall in the Seoul Arts Center, offering the audience a profound and moving experience.
He arranged Handel: Passacaglia for Two Violins and Orchestra for the final episode of the TV series Maestra, transforming it into a powerful orchestral piece that underscored the drama's emotional climax.He was also selected as a finalist in the 5th Young Composer’s Competition organized by Joe Hisaishi, the famous Japanese composer known for his work on Studio Ghibli soundtracks. He received high praise from the judges, who noted that "his music builds a unique sound world."
Jung Jaemin is also scoring the soundtrack for the game Goodbye Seoul : Itaewon Edition, and is set to achieve even more in the future, continuing to develop his distinctive musical style.
